Brooke has had some appointments with her doctors and her specialists over the last few weeks. We have her appointment with dermatology next Wednesday.
At her 2 year well child visit, the pediatrician was super happy with her progress! She said "Brooke is caught up" which brought tears to my eyes. The 2 year mark is a huge milestone for preemies. By 2 years old, most developmental issues are known. Often times these kiddos catch up with their peers on developmental stages.
They even said that she is ahead of her actual age in language development and gross motor skills. I laughed when they told me that. Obviously she is... she has 2 sisters to keep up with!
The liver specialist is very pleased with her progress. Her ultrasound showed "no current hemangiomas" on her liver which is a true miracle since her liver was covered in them. The original diagnosis was explianed to us this way: Her liver is about the size of an Oreo cookie and it currently looks like the moon with all of the hemangiomas covering it.
So, this news was just a true miracle! Her liver enzyme labs also came back the "best they have ever been" which is another answer to prayer!
I will update after her dermatology appointment this week; however, I am expecting more good news!
She is such an amazing miracle.
And look where she started:

Darling Brooke! I'm so pleased to know about her progress. No doubt a result of good parents and hard work!
