I spent the morning at Children's Mercy Hospital getting more testing done on Brooke. She had some labwork and another ultrasound to compare the hemangiomas on her liver. She was not able to eat before the procedure, so it had been about 7 hours since she had eaten anything (she normally eats about every 3, so she was getting quite upset). The ultrasound tech was good at her job, but she was very slow and a little less appreciative of Brooke trying to "help". Brooke always holds onto the sonographer's hand or the wand to "help". Most of the time, the sonographer is very sweet and just goes with it... Today's tech just kept taking Brooke's hand and removing it from the wand. Brooke would scream at her every time. She would look right at the woman and let out a huge scream. I was finding it very funny... The woman was not. Brooke finally figured out that her "help" was not appreciated so she came up with a new plan. She wound her feet around the cord and as soon as the woman started placing it on her belly, Brooke would straighten out her legs and yank the wand out of the woman's hands. At that point, I was cracking up... The woman was not.
After a very long time, we all decided that it was time to call it quits... I am sure they got more than enough pictures. I hope that the woman's day gets better, but Brooke and I sure got a kick out of it.

Say Cheese...
The girls have been sick for about a month now... actually much longer if you count the snotty noses. We have had to postpone a lot of things we had planned. One of which was Brooke's 9 month pictures. Yesterday, we went ahead and got them done. I posted one of the pictures. I will figure out a better way to post more...
I was kind of dreading the experience. I was throwing together outfits as we were trying to walk out the door. In the end, the girls were great, the outfits worked, the photographer was good and the pictures turned out pretty darn cute!

New Year... New Blog
I am going to try and start another blog... this one will have more narrative and less of the pictures and videos that the girls' website does. I am going to be changing that one as well. There is a link on here to the current site and I will update that when I change things.
This blog will be more about our family and the road we are on... More about us all and our journey. Please take some time to follow this road with us.
*Check out the girls' quotes at the bottom of this blog as well...
