This could have been really cute...

Maple Leaf Festival

We took the girls to Baldwin City to the Maple Leaf Festival this weekend. They have the festival the 3rd weekend of October every year. I love it. I love being back on Baker's campus. I love the sights of the city. I love the smells of the festival. I love walking the same streets. I love running into old friends. I love the memories. I love that I go every year and it makes me just as happy. I love that my girls get to walk the same college campus and hear the same stories year after year...

Don't Quit Your Day Job!

My girls will not be following in their grandmother's footsteps by modeling...
A friend of mine owns a baby boutique and my 3 girls modeled for her fashion show. Brynn was super shy and wouldn't lift up her head and Ainsley totally freaked out and grabbed onto my leg. Brooke actually did pretty well. She was upset her turn was over and wanted to go back out for another walk down the runway!
I am not sure what happened with our camera that caused these pictures to be so awful... but here are a few of them.

Link...

Click on the "Girls' Website" under Links on the right. I have added a new video of Brooke talking under "videos". Check it out. It is pretty cute!

My Baby!

Brooke is now 18 months old and talking quite a bit. We had her 18 month well check this week. She has not been very well lately... a non-stop upper respiratory infection has really wiped her out for the last few months. She is growing pretty well and is almost completely caught up developmentally with an "actual" 18 month old child. The doctor is very happy with her developmental growth, but she is concerned about her ongoing health issues. Overall, she is doing amazing for where we started!

Quick Visit to the Zoo!

Last weekend we had a few hours without anything scheduled. We have a season pass to the KC Zoo, so we decided to take a short trip out there to see the new polar bear and then the girls' favorite animals. Diego happened to be there for a visit which the girls loved! When we walked away, Ainsley said, "I think he remembered me. You know, from when I watch him on tv."
We saw the new polar bear do his tricks and then made sure to see the giraffes, elephants and ducks (their favorite animals!). It was a fun few hours!
(Brynn insisted that I take a picture of the hippos because they are buddies!)
