Take One...
We tried to get in full costume to take pictures:
Total meltdown.
Insert about 25 attempts...
Then a semi-decent one:

Maple Leaf Festival
The cute little town where we went to university has a fall festival each October.
I love everything about it.
The small town feel.
The old brick streets.
The parade.
The crunchy leaves.
The smell of roasted almonds and cider.
The rides for the kids and booth after booth of handmade crafts.
It is just perfect.
I even made Jesse drive around and look for houses for sale...
We went and visited my sorority house and Jesse's frat. It is so funny to walk those halls with 3 little girls! I was surprised that they recognized us in the composite pictures... especially Jesse!
Ainsley wants to go to school here because she will be close enough for us to visit. Awesome!
There is a cute little creek that runs through the middle of campus. Jesse reminded me that the girls were not supposed to be in it. I reminded him of the amount of naked people that "swam" in it in college... We compromised and I let them put their feet in.
Until next year...

The KC Zoo
I recently took the girls to the KC Zoo for an afternoon. I love it there. I heard an interview the other day with some top person there saying that they are striving to be the "next San Diego Zoo". Wouldn't that be awesome?!?!
KCPT had an event there which included a visit from Curious George. It was super fun to see him and give him hugs! The zoo was decorated for Halloween. This included spooky paths and hayrides. My girls wanted no part of any of that. So, we did our normal circle of the zoo which includes seeing their favorites: giraffes, elephants, hippos, and monkeys. We seem to skip the entire other side of the zoo every time we go. I told them that next time we are starting on the side that they have never seen. I'm sure it won't happen though!

All Things Fall...
Our friends invited us to join them at the cider fest and the pumpkin patch. We had so much fun! All of the girls had a wonderful time playing and enjoying the beautiful weather. I seriously love all things fall.
I said we had lots of fun, right?!?!?!
We really did...
So much cool stuff to look at.
and one last fit to end the day...

New Computer... New Stress
We bought a fancy new computer. It is awesome. Has so many amazing capabilities. And I have no idea how to use it. So, I am working to figure it out and get new pictures of the girls posted.
Wish me luck.

Half Birthdays
I LOVE celebrating half birthdays. A lot of people think they are silly...
Ainsley and Brynn have been celebrating them since they started "school" at 2 years old. Since their birthdays are in the summer, they celebrate their half birthdays at school.
And don't all kids refer to themselves as either "4" or "4 and a half"??? It is an important day.
Brooke just had her half birthday. We made a cake, obviously. And sang. And my husband rolled his eyes at me, but he still sang and ate cake!
Brooke is now officially "2 and a half".
That is big time.

Soccer...
Brynn's soccer season ended this weekend. Although she was often content to let someone else kick the ball, she totally LOVED playing! It was so fun to watch her play. She had a huge smile non-stop. She is already asking when she gets to start playing again (luckily sign-ups are already next week!)
Here are a few more pictures from the end of the season.
