Our Big Journey North...

My older sister got married in The Middle of Nowhere, Minnesota. It was actually Baxter, but it sure felt like the middle of nowhere! It took us 12 hours to drive up there on the Friday and then another 12 to drive home on Sunday. The girls did awesome in the car! It was such a blessing because it had the potential to be a total disaster! I kept the benadryl close by and occasionally threatened them with it, but I never had to use it!
The girls were so excited to see Jessica when we arrived at her house!
Those of us that got into town on Friday went out to dinner... at a bar. We got there early enough that it seemed somewhat acceptable to have children in there, but the atmosphere was quickly changing... starting with Brooke on the games and the girls shooting guns!
The wedding was on Saturday afternoon. The weather was beautiful! It started raining as we were leaving, but then God provided the most amazing double rainbow!
Their poor son was wiped out from all the activity...
It was a wonderful wedding... so much love.
I am glad we made the trip.
Yes, that red punch ended up all over Ainsley's white dress.
Yes, Brooke slept like that through the entire reception.
Yes, Brynn was being attacked by her sister in that picture.
Did I mention so much love??? I meant between the bride and groom.

Butterfly Festival

My mom took us to the Powell Garden Butterfly Festival. It is an annual tradition for Ainsley's birthday. They look forward to it all year! I just love that she does this with them!
They dress up like butterflies every year. This year Ainsley added fake hair (with butterflies attached)...
We take the same pictures and do the same fun activities each year. It is fun to see how much the girls change from year to year!
They love painting the flower pots. They make one every year. We have quite the collection now!
So much to learn about...
They were so excited that the butterflies landed on them. That one didn't want to leave Brynn's shirt!
Love these girls...
Until next year...
