Dreaming...
Ainsley woke up this morning and said, " Mommy, I had a dream last night that we went to the beach. I really wish it was the season when we got to go to the beach."
She has been talking about having her 5th birthday party at the beach. She wants a Hawaiian themed party complete with coconut tops and grass skirts. She decided it would be much more effective if we actually had the party in Hawaii. Wouldn't that be great!?!?!
We have had a rough year and a half... Some of the things are resolving and some are still in the works. It is wearing on all of us. A trip to the beach sounds like a wonderful break from all of this. We will see what comes next for us, but until then we will keep dreaming of the beach...

Resolutions...
Each year I make a list of my New Year's Resolutions. Sometimes the list only consists of two or three things; other years it is made up of ten or twelve great ideas. This year my list was relatively short... four items. So far, I am not doing very well on most items. (Not awful, but it could be better). When resolutions are only based on you as an individual, then it is up to you to make them happen and your fault if they don't. For example, one of my resolutions is to take time every day to do my devotional. Although I need the kids to be somewhat quiet, it is up to me to make sure it happens each day. However, there are resolutions that involve many more factors. Another one of my resolutions is for Jesse and I to have a date once a month... with no children. In order for that to happen, Jesse and I need to be available on the same night, the kids need to be well, we need someone to watch all the kids, Brooke needs to nurse right before we leave, we need to go somewhere kind of quick so that I can be home in time to nurse her again, etc. It is not as simple as deciding we want to grab dinner together.
Sometimes I think that resolutions are silly and not worth the time, but they do act as a constant source of guilt for me... and that guilt pushes me to try my best to follow through on them.

Finally... some good news!
We got a call from one of Brooke's specialists that her ultrasound looked good. The hemangiomas on her liver are starting to decrease in size without treatment! They are being classified as "potential self resolution". We are so excited and thanking God for this miracle!
